  • Support the transition of new products from Engineering to Manufacturing by partnering with Design Engineering, NPI, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability, scalability, quality, and cost objectives are achieved.
  • Drive engineering change implementation by reviewing, launching, approving, and executing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), process changes, work instruction updates, and configuration management activities.
  • Apply Design for Excellence (DFx) methodologies, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Cost (DFC), to improve productivity, quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, waste elimination, ergonomics improvements, and capacity enhancements using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Develop manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, control plans, process maps, visual aids, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineering to develop and optimize test procedures, acceptance criteria, and test fixtures used during system integration and validation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing, quality, and test data to identify trends, drive root cause investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Lead and participate in structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Analysis, and Failure Analysis techniques.
  • Support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), risk assessments, process validation activities, and readiness reviews for New Product Introduction programs.
  • Evaluate supplier, component, and manufacturing process performance to improve reliability, yield, and overall product quality.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues related to assembly, integration, testing, and field-returned equipment.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs, establish labor standards, evaluate tooling requirements, and recommend process improvements that increase productivity while reducing cost.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with Applied Materials quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
  • Support factory performance objectives related to quality, delivery, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction.
