Lead Data Steward – Insulet Global Business Services (IGBS)
Reports to: Global Service Owner – Data Stewardship
Location: Guadalajara Midtown (Hybrid)

Position Overview
At Insulet, the makers of Omnipod, we are dedicated to our purpose – to improve the lives of people with diabetes. As we continue to grow and scale, we are investing in enterprise data governance and master data management capabilities to strengthen our data foundations across priority domains.

As part of this effort, Insulet Global Business Services (IGBS) is establishing a Data Stewardship capability to provide ongoing stewardship, data quality, and governance support across the enterprise. The Lead Data Steward will play a key role in activating this capability within assigned domains by translating governance standards into effective day-to-day operational practice.

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Steward to coordinate stewardship execution across assigned priority domains and drive consistent application of governance standards in day-to-day operations. This role will partner closely with Data Owners, business stakeholders, enterprise data governance partners, and technology teams to improve data quality, enable standards adoption, address data management challenges, and manage key master data lifecycle activities.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience in master data and data stewardship, with proven delivery in complex, cross-functional environments where governance maturity and tooling are still evolving. This individual will help establish trusted ways of working, support stakeholders in understanding governance roles, standards, and accountabilities, and drive adoption of consistent data management practices as the Data Stewardship capability continues to mature.

Main Responsibilities
Support Data Owner and Domain Stewardship
•    Support the Data Owner in the day-to-day stewardship of assigned priority domains, including preparing materials for governance forums and escalating priorities, risks, and decisions as needed.
•    Coordinate stewardship activities across assigned priority domains such as HCP, Patient, and Product, and build deep domain expertise.
•    Coordinate stewardship activities and supporting resources across assigned priority domains to ensure consistent execution and follow-through.

Maintain Domain Master Data and Data Quality
•    Coordinate master data lifecycle activities, including create, update, deactivate, approval workflows, and mass update requests, in line with agreed standards and controls.
•    Define, monitor, and report domain data quality measures and stewardship performance indicators, and drive remediation where needed.
•    Coordinate one-time and ongoing data cleansing and improvement activities in partnership with business and technology teams.

Governance Operations
•    Coordinate the domain council and governance cadence for assigned priority domains, including tracking actions and follow-through on agreed decisions.
•    Manage data quality exceptions, recurring issue reviews, and root-cause discussions to strengthen controls and prevent repeat issues.
•    Track and publish governance KPIs with the Data Owner to support visibility, accountability, and better decisions.

Governance Standards and Controls
•    Apply enterprise governance policies, standards, and controls within assigned priority domains and translate them into effective ways of working.
•    Maintain domain standards, process documentation, controls, data definitions, and metadata in governance tools such as Atlan.
•    Help reinforce role clarity, decision rights, and accountability within the domain, including agreed controls for privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Enablement and Change Adoption
•    Partner with Data Owners, users, and cross-functional stakeholders to build understanding of governance roles, stewardship expectations, and domain standards.
•    Deliver training, communications, and practical guidance to support adoption of agreed data practices and one accountable way of working.
•    Demonstrate strong communication and English-language articulation skills to support stakeholder engagement, cross-functional facilitation, and adoption of governance practices across the organization.

Systems, Tooling, and Continuous Improvement
•    Partner with platform and IT teams on system changes, data model updates, metadata maintenance, and stewardship requirements. Strong working knowledge of Salesforce and related master data processes is expected.
•    Operate effectively in environments where governance maturity and MDM tooling are still evolving, using practical interim controls where needed.
•    Maintain a domain improvement backlog and identify recurring pain points and practical improvements that strengthen data quality, control, and user experience over time.

Education and Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical, technical, or business discipline, such as Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
•    A master’s degree in a related field would be an advantage.
•    6–10 years of experience in data management, data governance, data stewardship, or master data management.
•    Demonstrated delivery and a strong track record in complex, cross-functional environments.
•    Experience implementing and supporting data governance frameworks, standards, and controls.
•    Experience with data quality management, data standards, data lineage, metadata, and data privacy or regulatory requirements.
•    Experience supporting Data Owners and working with business and technology stakeholders to improve data quality and strengthen governance practices.
•    Experience working in a global business services team and/or commercial services organization is preferred.
