We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations while remaining actively involved on the production floor. This is a working supervisor role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting technicians, and leading by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate daily maintenance activities, improve equipment reliability, support capital projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
· Prioritize and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
· Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
· Remain actively involved in troubleshooting and repair activities while supporting the maintenance team.
· Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
· Perform and oversee hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related maintenance.
· Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead repair efforts.
· Support equipment installation, commissioning, and facility improvements.
· Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
· Maintain maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment history.
· Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance resources.
· Identify and implement practical improvements that increase equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen maintenance processes and overall plant performance.
· Promote proactive problem-solving and a culture of ownership throughout the department.
· Support the planning and execution of capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
· Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources during project execution.
· Assist with equipment selection, installation, startup, and commissioning.
· Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
· Promote safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and established maintenance procedures.
· Participate in safety audits and corrective action initiatives.
Qualifications
(Required)
· Delaware Journeyman Electrician License (or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
· Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Five or more years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
· Experience supervising maintenance teams.
· Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
· Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
· Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
· Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
(Preferred)
· Master Electrician License.
· Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
· Experience supporting capital projects from planning through commissioning.
· Experience with CMMS or maintenance planning systems.
· Demonstrated success improving maintenance operations and equipment reliability.
