The Event Manager is responsible for all elements of the end-to-end management of an event, including sourcing, logistics, financial management and communication with our transportation team.

He/she will manage the process from the intake interview and the initial proposal for the venue with the associated budget, taking into account the standards, procedures, and policies of the client and American Express Meeting & Events. This position relates to the Pharma/Medical client sector. This role focuses on our 'retention strategy'. All activities contribute to the key responsibilities of overall customer retention regarding establishing a professional long-term relationship, excellent service, and account expansion.

What You'll Do

• End-to-End National and/or International Project Management
• Negotiations (financial, contractual, etc.) with suppliers
• Communication with the requester of meetings/events/team building activities
• Demonstrate leadership skills when managing the project team
• Operational management of the project (planning, registration)
• Accurate and timely data management
• Logistical coordination of the event
• Maximizing revenue per event and insight into the total contribution to revenue and the profit and loss statement
• Budget alignment per event
• Analytical reasoning
• On-site assistance (if needed, not mandatory, and based on upselling by the meeting planner)
• Financial and data reporting per event
• Additional tasks as requested

What We're Looking For

• Fluent business English
• Excellent customer service
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in event management
• Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus
• Flexibility and adaptability in a process-driven environment
• Team spirit
• Used to working under pressure
• High attention to detail
