Job Description:

The Licensing & Regulatory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the review, processing, and issuance of liquor license applications for the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. This position operates within the Commission’s regulatory framework to ensure applications comply with Nebraska liquor laws, administrative rules, and Commission policies, while serving as a primary point of contact for applicants, licensees, local governing bodies, and the public. The role primarily supports standard licensing functions but may also include Special Designated License (SDL) applications as needed. In this role, the coordinator manages the full lifecycle of licensing matters, from initial application through final approval or Commission action. This includes reviewing submissions for completeness and accuracy, identifying regulatory issues, communicating requirements and deficiencies to applicants, and coordinating with internal staff and external stakeholders to move applications through the process in a timely and consistent manner. The position requires the ability to interpret and apply statutes and rules, provide clear guidance to stakeholders navigating the licensing process, and ensure that all necessary documentation, approvals, and regulatory requirements are satisfied prior to issuance. The coordinator also plays a key role in maintaining accurate records within the Commission’s licensing systems and supporting overall regulatory compliance. This position is central to ensuring efficient licensing operations, consistent application of regulatory standards, and effective communication between the Commission and the regulated industry.
