Main Responsibilities
• Develop PCT part in capital investment projects as PCT Lead Engineer in time schedule, budget and quality according the relevant standards and procedures in all project phases for all PCT tasks

• Develops the design basis for capital investment projects including but not limited to the definition of design basis, PCT description, piping and instrumentation diagrams togeterh with Process discipline, instrument/electrical/control system specification,etc.;

• Identifies technical needs of clients, converts those needs into functional and technical requirements and finally into engineering design input, implement feedback on potential for improvement and develops an optimal solution while considering technical, economical and ecological constrains;

• Establish a team of PCT engineers as part of the project organization, and set multi-discipline workflow to ensure cross communication (interface management) within PCT team and within project sub-team incl. technical experts, operation, etc.;

• Implement PCT related workflows and standards, guidelines, instruct technical personnel in view of legal obligation and company policy to ensure complete and consistent PCT design package; Implements Functional Safety and PCT portion of Machinery Safety in project.

• Design the work plan and schedule for PCT design services in project, collates cost estimation data for his or her discipline;

• Prepare documentation for PCT (basic, detail, interface, final) in EPDS 1-99 Project File Structure to ensure the delivery package fully complianced, collates and reviews engineering documents created by PCT engineers assigned to the same project;

• Provide support to EM/PM by coordinates engineering disciplines during the engineering and design phase of capital projects

Qualification Requirements (Education & Work Experience)

• Masters or Bachelor degree in instrumentation, automation, electrical or IT engineering from renowned university

• Work experience in relevant field in PCT design of at least 10 years.

• Has gained during his professional career significant know how in the areas of basic and detail design including interface management with contractors, field engineering support, commissioning and start-up of chemical, petrochemical or related plants;

• Knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, electrical and associated auxiliaries, digital plant automation structures and CAE tools is required.

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including technical English.

• Knowledge of all relevant GB and IEC codes with regard to design and maintenance of PCT systems in chemical and petrochemical plants

• Able to establish priorities, to organize, to work independently, and to proceed according to agreed objectives without continuous supervision

• Exhibits considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

• Good leadership skills to represent the project interests on internal and external stakeholders, even in conflict situations

• Readiness for national and international business trips

• Project experience: Lead Engineer role or PCT Engineer role in €10 million+ projects
