How you succeed
We are seeking an experienced ATM BASE24 Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of mission-critical ATM and electronic payment switching platforms based on the ACI BASE24 solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring system stability, driving strategic enhancements, supporting business initiatives, and leading a team of engineers in delivering high-quality payment processing services. .

What you do

Technical Leadership

• Lead the development, implementation, and support of ATM and payment-switching solutions using ACI BASE24.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members.

• Define technical standards, best practices, and operational procedures.

• Review solution designs, code changes, and deployment plans.

Application Development & Support

• Design, develop, and maintain BASE24 applications and custom enhancements.

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Support ATM transaction processing, authorization, reconciliation, and settlement functions.

• Perform impact assessments and effort estimations for new change requests.

Production Support

• Provide Level 3 support for production incidents and critical system issues.

• Troubleshoot transaction processing failures and performance-related issues.

• Coordinate incident resolution with infrastructure, network, vendors, and business teams.

• Participate in On-Call support and major incident management activities.

Project Delivery

• Lead project implementation activities, including requirement analysis, design, testing, and deployment.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and regional teams.

• Support system upgrades, migration initiatives, and platform modernization efforts.

• Ensure projects are delivered within scope, timeline, and quality expectations.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

• Support risk assessments, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity activities.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational procedures.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 8+ years of experience in ATM and electronic payment systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with ACI BASE24-Classic / BASE24-EPS.

• Experience in ATM transaction processing and payment switching environments.

• Proficiency in HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.

• Strong knowledge of: TACL, TAL, COBOL, Pathway, Enscribe, SQL/MP

• Experience with ISO 8583 messaging standards.

• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in banking or financial services environments.

• Knowledge of card management systems, debit/credit card processing, and payment networks.

• Experience with ATM driving, interchange connectivity, and switch integrations.

• Familiarity with DevOps, automation, and monitoring tools.

• Experience leading regional or geographically distributed teams.
