Job Description:
Land Surveyor
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Land Surveyor to join our team on a major infrastructure assignment in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will perform field surveying activities to support accurate setting-out, verification, and as-built deliverables in line with project drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
Review drawings and documents related to the works.
Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations; supervise survey-related activities on site.
Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
Complete the surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
Carry out setting-out, level checks, and verification of service locations to ensure protection of existing utilities.
Operate and maintain survey equipment including Total Station, GPS and levelling machine and data collectors.
Prepare sketches to support the fieldwork. Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
Measure work done when required and support progress/quantity verification.
Observe site safety procedures.
Assist in the preparation of ‘as-built’ drawings.
Follow site HSE procedures and participate in safety requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying (or equivalent).
Minimum 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, roads and utilities projects.
Strong hands-on experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station, data collectors, levelling machine and GPS equipment.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry preferred.
Consultancy/construction supervision experience.
