We are seeking a talented individual to join our Network and Security team, part of our Marsh Tech hub. This role will be based in Cluj. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

The Junior Python Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting new automated solutions to improve the management and security posture of the global Marsh network. They will build and execute the strategic roadmap, with a focus on self-service solutions, integrated systems and automated processes for public cloud, private cloud, and traditional enterprise network environments.

We will count on you to:

• Designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines to mange cloud infrastructure as code.
• Modernizing network architecture management systems by integrating DevOps processes into new and existing manual management processes.
• Developing automated integrations for various APIs, databases, and web applications.
• Working closely with network engineering and security teams to develop automation solutions using Terraform and other frameworks as appropriate.
• Working to improve network data accuracy and availability to various teams across the organization.
• Scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on automated job executions within automation orchestration systems.
• Acting as a technical resource for other analysts on the team.
• Assisting with diagnosing and correcting coding issues.
• Communicating effectively with team members and management.
• Ensuring code quality via peer reviews and automated scanning workflows.
• Working with teams to develop project plans and communicate software development plans utilizing Agile development methodology.
• Maintaining existing software solutions by assisting with software maintenance, upgrades, and migrations.
• Providing technical support to colleagues for existing problems escalated as appropriate.
• Researching and evaluating emerging technologies

What you need to have:

• 1-2 years’ experience as  Python Software Engineering
• Automating cloud deployments with frameworks such as Terraform or Ansible.
• CI/CD pipeline design and management
• REST API, GraphQL, JQuery
• Agile development methodology

• Using Automation frameworks like Nornir, Ansible.
• SCM/Git
• Azure DevOps
• Experience designing and deploying containerized applications with Kubernetes.
• Automating Cloud infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle maintenance.
• Experience developing with Go, Java, JavaScript, MongoDB
• Experience working with Netbox, Rundeck, Splunk
