About the role
As we enter our next phase of growth and profitability, we are looking for a System Administrator to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Main responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain software and hardware across corporate and retail locations
- Manage network servers, cloud systems, and technology tools to ensure stability and security
- Oversee setup and lifecycle of user accounts, workstations, and access controls
- Support and manage the POS (Point-of-Sale) system, including configuration, maintenance, and L1 support.
- Retail Store Operations : Procure IT infrastructure, partner with vendors on installations, and manage delivery schedules to meet target store launch dates.
- Collaborate with the Retail Operations team to identify pain points and enhancement opportunities in store systems
- Coordinate with L2 POS vendors for troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement projects
- Lead and manage POS-related IT projects, including system rollouts, integrations, and testing
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot system issues, and respond promptly to outages or incidents
- Ensure security through device policies, firewalls, and backup strategies
- Maintain accurate records of IT and retail assets via asset management tools
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and IT policies
- Continuously explore automation opportunities and process improvements to optimize IT operations

Requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role (min. 3-4 years of experience)
- Strong knowledge of IT asset management, MDM, Active Directory, and network security
- Hands-on experience with POS systems (preferably retail environments) and vendor coordination
- Strong grasp of system security (e.g., intrusion detection, endpoint protection, backup/recovery)
- Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Resourcefulness, ownership, and problem-solving aptitude
- Interest in staying current with emerging technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., Google Workspace Admin, Microsoft 365, or CompTIA Security+) are a plus
- Experience managing retail store IT infrastructure (POS, network, peripherals) and work with Unify management.
- Understanding of inventory or asset management tools is a plus
