What you can expect
As IT Project Services Manager (RIC NW), you take ownership of delivering critical IT projects across the region. You lead a team of consultants and play a key role in implementing and migrating WMS solutions for international customers.
You operate at the core of the Regional Implementation Center (RIC), where strategy meets execution. In this role, you directly contribute to building a scalable, high-performing project organisation that enables growth and standardisation across North-West Europe.
This role is based in either the UK or the Netherlands, with a strong regional scope.
What You Bring:
Your Role
In this role, you combine project delivery leadership with people management. You ensure projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget, while building and developing a strong team of consultants.
You work closely with country IT, business stakeholders, Business Development, and the BY Competence Center to successfully deliver customer implementations and system migrations.
You collaborate closely with the WMS Architect, ensuring that solution designs are translated into effective execution. You both take ownership where needed to maintain momentum, resolve gaps, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
You report to the Head of RIC NW, aligning on priorities, capacity, and delivery performance across the regional project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
- Lead and deliver regional WMS implementation and migration projects
- Ensure delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Manage risks, dependencies, and execution challenges
- Drive predictable, scalable, and high-quality project execution
Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of functional and technical consultants
- Plan and allocate resources across multiple projects and countries
- Drive performance, accountability, and productivity
- Conduct performance management and support development of team members
Project Pipeline & Planning
- Own and manage the regional project pipeline
- Translate business demand into structured project planning
- Align priorities and capacity with the Head of RIC
- Ensure realistic, transparent, and achievable delivery plans
Stakeholder Management
- Act as key IT partner for project delivery towards:
- Country IT teams
- Business stakeholders
- Business Development & Engineering
- BY Competence Center and Group IT
- Ensure strong alignment between business expectations and IT execution
- Drive decision-making and escalation when required
Migration & Transformation
- Lead the transition from legacy (sunset) WMS systems to the target platforms
- Ensure structured, repeatable, and controlled migration execution
- Safeguard feasibility and scalability of implementations
Ways of Working & Improvement
- Drive standardisation of project execution across the region
- Ensure consistent use of tools and methodologies (e.g. JIRA)
- Continuously improve delivery efficiency and predictability
Support to Business Development
- Contribute to shaping customer solutions and proposals
- Ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and implementable
- Provide input on timelines, risks, and cost
What you bring
- HBO/WO level thinking and working
- Proven experience in IT project delivery and team management
- Experience with WMS or logistics environments is a strong advantage
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a multi-country environment
- Experience with transformation and migration projects
- Comfortable operating in a matrix organisation
- Fluent in English
