The IT Delivery Director is accountable for the strategic delivery, technical execution, and IT resource management within their responsibility area, while jointly maximizing the value of the Tribe — including RoI, P&L, MAU, DAU, and other business outcomes — in partnership with the Tribe's business and Agile leadership.
Your future responsibilities:
Strategy & Value
- Develop and implement IT strategies and roadmap aligned with the company's goals, with a focus on payments processing systems
- Develop the Tribe's vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap aligned with the bank's broader business objectives
- Ensure that the delivered solution fits the overall IT strategy and that IT goals/tasks are reflected in the Product Backlog
- Provide technical and IT-related strategic input for the respective business area
- Define Tribe/IT OKRs, product metrics and KPIs aligned with the overall Bank Strategy to measure Tribe success, ensuring value delivery is clear and transparent. Make data-driven decisions
- Guide the Tribe to achieve Investment Portfolio targets/goals, converting organizational goals into Tribe strategy
- Ensure customer value delivery and pain resolution are a top priority across all teams
Delivery & Backlog Management
- Work closely with Product Owners and Solution Architects to define the backlog and the Release Plan in the responsibility area
- Ensure the Product/IT backlog is transparent and aligned with priorities, using prioritization techniques
- Foster a culture of frequent delivery by supporting decomposition of use cases into smaller, releasable increments
- Ensure the Roadmap and/or Release Plan are transparent, visible, and understood by the Bank and relevant stakeholders; inspect and adapt regularly
- Ensure proper involvement of all IT roles
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Pitch Tribe proposals and plans to the Investment Committee to secure budget
- Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders outside the Tribe, communicating progress, challenges, and dependencies
- Ensure input and feedback from all stakeholders (customer, management, board, marketing, sales, compliance, legal, customer support) is considered by all teams
- Ensure relevant bank documents are kept up to date (public agreements, rules, regulations, procedures, instructions)
- Fulfil audit actions and recommendations at the Tribe level
Team, Resource & People Management
- Own IT resource management for the full Tribe (30+ people): hiring, replacement, new team setup, and people management
- Own the procurement scope (contracts, licenses)
- Align IT standards and documentation required for team setup
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members; drive accountability for assigned work
- Coach business stakeholders on management and engineering best practices
- Focus on developing talent within the Tribe; support the growth and professional development of Product Owners, providing feedback and guidance
- Encourage continuous improvement practices (retrospectives, feedback loops)
- Promote a feedback culture, culture of trust, growth mindset, and ownership
- Conduct 1:1s with key Tribe roles
Risk & Governance
- Manage IT risks, banking domain risks, and technical interdependencies
- Ensure business continuity management
Tribe Leadership Team
- Collaborate on Tribe vision, setup, and value delivery
- Align business vision with Tribe capacity and system SLAs; agree on priorities matching Tribe and Bank KPIs/OKRs
- Build Tribe strategy and goals jointly with the Leadership Team; track progress and adjust based on results
- Set up Tribe events that support achieving the Tribe's goals
- Resolve Tribe escalations jointly with the Leadership Team
- Ensure the Tribe is ready for quarterly planning (KPIs actualized, OKRs set, scope defined)
Your skills and experience:
- 3+ years of full-time practice as a Project Manager/Delivery Manager
- 5+ years in management overall in the IT software industry
- Deep knowledge and expertise in management practices (Team Audit, Team Composition, 1:1s, Situational Leadership model)
- Understanding of general IT systems architecture
- Business continuity management
- Proactive and result-oriented; strong "get things done" orientation
- Readiness for multitasking, self-organization, and self-motivation, with the ability to motivate others
- English B2
