Investor Relations Director

The Investor Relations Director serves as the primary liaison between the company and the investment community, helping to communicate the organization's financial performance, business strategy, growth opportunities, and long-term value creation story. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for developing and executing the company's investor relations strategy, supporting capital markets activities, enhancing shareholder engagement, and ensuring clear, accurate, and consistent communication with investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders. The Investor Relations Director partners closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, communications, and business leaders to maintain credibility in the marketplace and support the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's investor relations strategy to support shareholder value creation and long-term business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, financial analysts, and other members of the investment community.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership team to articulate the company's financial performance, strategic priorities, and growth initiatives.
  • Lead preparation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, conference presentations, and earnings call scripts.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, analyst briefings, investor conferences, and shareholder engagement activities.
  • Prepare and maintain investor-facing content, including presentations, annual reports, earnings releases, and investor relations website materials.
  • Monitor analyst reports, investor feedback, market trends, peer company activity, and industry developments to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Support the development of key messages and financial narratives that accurately represent company performance and future outlook.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure compliance with disclosure regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with preparation of SEC filings, annual reports, proxy materials, and other public disclosures, as applicable.
  • Analyze shareholder composition, investor sentiment, valuation trends, and market perceptions to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Develop financial models, market analyses, and benchmarking assessments to support management decision-making.
  • Provide leadership updates regarding investor concerns, market expectations, and emerging market dynamics.
  • Support capital raising, financing activities, M&A communications, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, equity research analysts, and other external stakeholders.
  • Manage investor inquiries and ensure timely, professional responses to requests for information.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in investor relations, corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, equity research, investment banking, corporate communications, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with executive leadership teams and external investors.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and corporate finance.
  • Experience preparing earnings presentations, investor materials, and executive communications.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial information into compelling and understandable business narratives.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and executive presence.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel as required to support investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • CFA or other relevant professional certification.
  • Previous experience leading an Investor Relations function for a publicly traded company.
  • Experience supporting capital market transactions, debt offerings, equity offerings, or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of SEC regulations, public company disclosure requirements, and corporate governance practices.
  • Experience interacting directly with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, advanced materials, technology, or other complex global business environments.
  • Experience developing investor communication strategies during periods of business transformation or growth.
  • Familiarity with investor relations platforms, shareholder analytics tools, and financial data providers such as FactSet, Bloomberg, or S&P Capital IQ.
  • Proven success building credibility with investors and enhancing a company's market perception
