Job Description:
This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily warehouse, production, and aftermarket operations. The role is responsible for cycle counting, inventory transactions, discrepancy resolution, and identifying process improvements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost control. This position will work closely with Distribution, Purchasing, Customer Service, and management to ensure inventory data and reporting support business needs. This position uses Oracle based programs along with Excel and data loaders to process work daily.
Responsibilities
Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stocked to support production & aftermarket demand.
Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
Review min/max/reorder point records to align with AOP inventory budget
Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics
Schedule and coordinate complete daily/weekly/monthly cycle count which includes the physical count tasks including report preparation, monitoring physical counting, reconciliation, and data entry.
Ensure all daily inventory transactions are accurately and promptly enter data into TMS (oracle) and maintain records.
Generate monthly cycle count report to include total items, pieces, dollars counted, and all adjustments.
Monitor inventory transactions to develop and/or recommend improvements in inventory procedures and work instructions.
Reviews, monitors, investigates, and reports on inventory that is on hold, in Quality NCR area, and RGA area.
Works with Distribution, Purchasing, and Customer Service to help with inventory variances.
Provides locator set up function in TMS (Oracle) for incoming items that do not have a location assigned and new item set up in Item Master
Perform daily receiving transactions in TMS (Oracle) and assist in any receiving discrepancies
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma
Minimum of three years of related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business operations, logistics, mathematics, or related field preferred
Proficient with computers, specifically excel
Familiarity with Oracle, or enterprise resource planning software
Superior organizational and communication skills
