Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems and commercial/industrial chillers. The candidate will ensure optimum performance of cooling systems, provide technical support to customers, and maintain high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and water-cooled/air-cooled chillers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown service activities.
- Analyze refrigeration circuits, compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, and electrical systems.
- Attend customer complaints and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Conduct system performance testing and commissioning of HVAC and chiller equipment.
- Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and refrigeration schematics.
- Monitor and optimize equipment efficiency and energy consumption.
- Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and spare parts documentation.
- Coordinate with customers, service teams, and vendors for smooth execution of service activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to customers when required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, refrigeration cycles, and cooling equipment.
- Expertise in troubleshooting compressors, VFDs, PLC controls, sensors, pumps, and electrical panels.
- Knowledge of refrigerants, charging procedures, leak detection, and recovery practices.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Good analytical, communication, and customer-handling skills.
- Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with brands such as Carrier, Trane, Daikin, Blue Star, Johnson Controls, York, Kirloskar, or equivalent HVAC/chiller equipment.
- Experience in commercial buildings, manufacturing plants, data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.
