The Role:

This is an internal-facing, high impact horizontal and senior role. You will own AI transformation in an AI company. Your goal will be to improve our ability to scale - we’ve achieved universal AI adoption among employees, deployed many agents through successful AI projects, and embedded AI deep into our strategy. Your role will be to take over what exists and evolve it into a scalable and impact maximising system.

What you’ll do

• Own AI transformation end to end, defining the long-term internal AI roadmap and strategic vision - from roles to workflows and context, you have an opinion on how a company should operate in the age of AI.
• Partner with leaders across all business departments to bring AI & automation into their processes, helping them to select the most impactful opportunities, align processes across departments and oversee the execution leads to measurable impact on core business metrics.
• Select & manage AI tooling across the company - from PoCs, to procurement, infosec evaluation, and company-wide adoption. You know the AI tooling landscape and can choose the right tools, not just the most visible tools - and then bring them to the rest of Makers in an effective way.
• Support & run global AI enablement of Make employees, coaching teams to design and implement their own AI workflows, building internal capability rather than creating dependency. You should be able to both run and organise internal AI L&D - from webinars to hackathons.

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication skills on every level - you demonstrate the ability to simplify & teach technical concepts to others, manage a technical team as well as to align & influence the leadership team. You meet the people where they need you, not the other way around.
• Operational excellence - you are structured and disciplined. You understand what it means to run a change management program at a medium-scale company - from orchestrating multiple streams, to driving change of mindset and aligning stakeholders through a timely and transparent communication.
• Deep understanding of the AI ecosystem - you are an early adopter and hands on builder. In your previous position, you were the internal AI champion; AI comes second nature to you. You go beyond the basic use of the AI tools like ChatGPT. And while you are an AI poweruser, you understand what should be kept human.
• You can create clarity around you - you understand what clarity means and are able to align people in one direction, be it leadership, technical or cross-functional teams. You prefer to move forward than wait for perfection. Where you feel clarity is missing, you pro-actively obtain it.

We’re looking for someone who’s owned a business transformation in the past - not necessarily in the AI space, but has scaled a programme end-to-end. We expect you to be comfortable scaling rigorously what exists while being able to adjust the course of action based on where the AI space is evolving.
