About the Role

We are looking for an adventurous, passionate, and accomplished Graphic designer with world class design sensibility to join our new design team in Shenzhen, China

The right candidate loves music as we do, brings a fresh perspective on design & innovation and has the ability to understand and translate latest fashion, interior and cultural design trends into iconic product experiences for Harman’s iconic brands, including JBL, Harman Kardon and AKG.

You will take a hands-on position with responsibilities working in a very fast-paced, collaborative environment. You understand that great design can amplify the lives of real people and how this builds a strong brand.

What You Will Do

• Work with brand design leaders to develop new brand identities for the brands JBL, Harman Kardon and Infinity develop and establish graphical packaging guidelines (logos, typography, manuals, etc.)
• Develop and establish point-of-purchase packaging, event concepts, brochures
• Be responsible to take ideas from concept through production (die-lines, printer oversight, etc.)
• Spot lifestyle tendencies and turn them into new concepts along with multidisciplinary teams
• Design innovative concepts and products
• Lead projects, deliver presentations and maintain project manager contact
• Take full responsibility for your projects, work independently, and provide regular updates to the packaging design manager.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Demonstrates strong design fundamentals, including exceptional typography, composition skills, and meticulous attention to detail. 
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; knowledge of 3D or additional design tools is considered an advantage. 
• Proven experience collaborating with consumer lifestyle brands. 
• Extensive expertise in relevant software, tools, and processes. 
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional leaders. 
• Skilled in managing multiple projects and products simultaneously. 
• Results-driven and a highly motivated team player. 
• Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design. 
• Passionate about design and music, with a keen interest in materials, color palettes, and finishes. 
• Enthusiastic about street culture, sports, music, and fashion trends. 
• Possesses an outgoing personality with a strong sense of humor. 
• Possesses over 5 years of professional experience in graphic design and print production, accompanied by an impressive portfolio showcasing exceptional skills and achievements
