This role is hybrid in Mexico City, 3 days at our office in Reforma (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). If hired, "buró de crédito" needs to be cleared.
This Global Payroll Administrator (Admin 2) is based in Mexico and always retains Mexico payroll as a standing, permanent responsibility. Beyond Mexico, this Admin also processes payroll for whichever additional entities are currently assigned to them on the team's payroll coverage checklist — a working document the Global Payroll Manager updates periodically to rebalance the remaining entities (Canada, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, and Israel) between this role and Admin 1, who permanently owns US payroll on the same basis.
What you´ll do
• Process Mexico payroll every cycle as a fixed, standing responsibility of this role, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and pay changes.
• Process payroll each cycle for whichever additional entities are currently assigned per the payroll coverage checklist.
• Partner with local payroll vendors and PEO/EOR partners to submit inputs and validate outputs for each currently assigned country.
• Review payroll registers for accuracy prior to Manager review and approval.
• Ensure accurate calculation and remittance of statutory withholdings for assigned countries (e.g., Mexico IMSS/ISR; Canada CPP/EI; UK PAYE/NI; Germany Lohnsteuer/Sozialversicherung; France URSSAF/DSN; UAE Wage Protection System/End-of-Service Benefits; Australia superannuation/PAYG; Singapore CPF; Philippines SSS/PhilHealth/Pag-IBIG/BIR withholding tax; Israel Bituach Leumi, as applicable).
• Maintain employee payroll records and respond to employee payroll inquiries for assigned countries.
• Support year-end and statutory reporting for assigned countries (e.g., Mexico Constancia de Percepciones y Retenciones; Canada T4; UK P60/P11D; Germany Lohnsteuerbescheinigung; France DSN reporting; Australian Income Statement/STP; Singapore IR8A; Philippines BIR Form 2316; Israel Form 106, as applicable).
• Reconcile payroll registers to HRIS, timekeeping, and benefits data each cycle.
• Help keep the payroll coverage checklist and related SOPs current as country assignments change, including which countries are processed directly vs. through a PEO/EOR.
• Flag regulatory or statutory changes in currently assigned countries to the Manager, HR, & Finance teams as needed.
What make you a qualified candidate
• Based in Mexico, with 3-5+ years of hands-on Mexico payroll processing experience (IMSS, ISR, statutory filings) — required.
• Comfortable owning Mexico payroll as a permanent responsibility while also picking up additional countries on a rotating basis.
• Broader multi-country payroll exposure (EMEA and/or APAC) a strong plus, since checklist assignments can draw from Canada, UK, Germany, France, UAE, Australia, Singapore, Philippines, or Israel.
• Experience working with payroll vendors and PEO/EOR platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Deel, or similar).
• Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort with reconciliations and statutory deadlines across multiple time zones.
• FPC/CPP or equivalent payroll certification a plus.
