We have an opportunity for an experienced Functional Consultant to join our team and ensure that our technology solutions are designed and implemented in a way that solves real business problems.

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

The Functional Consultant role offers the opportunity to combine business insight, stakeholder engagement, and platform expertise to deliver impactful outcomes across Salesforce and nCino.

You'll partner closely with Business Delivery Leads, Platform Owners, Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and design pragmatic solutions that align with business objectives. You'll act as a trusted advisor, bringing platform expertise and best-practice thinking to guide decision-making and maximise value from our platform.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Wellington or Auckland, reporting to the Platform Owner.

What are some of the tasks the person in this role will complete?

• Support Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering - Understand business processes, identify pain points, and gather requirements that support strategic and operational objectives.
• Technical Solution Design & Functional Consulting – Work with business solution design to translate requirements into clear functional, technical designs and leverage Salesforce and nCino best practices to recommend solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Delivery & Implementation Support - Work closely with delivery teams through configuration, testing, deployment and post-go-live activities to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality expectations.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Change Enablement - Act as a key liaison between business and technology teams, helping stakeholders understand solution impacts and supporting successful adoption of change.
• Continuous Improvement & Platform Optimisation - Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase platform capability and enhance user experience across Salesforce and nCino.

What skills are required for this role?

• Salesforce and nCino Platform Knowledge - Experience working with Salesforce CRM, Financial Services Cloud, and/or nCino. Ability to apply platform best practices to guide solution design and delivery decisions.
• Business Process & Requirements Expertise - Strong ability to understand, analyse, and improve business processes. Experience gathering and documenting requirements for complex business initiatives.
• Delivery & Change Management - Experience supporting initiatives across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery through implementation and post-go-live support.
• Banking or Financial Services Experience - Experience within banking, lending, financial services, or large-scale enterprise transformation programmes would be advantageous.
