Full Time Senior Caregiver – Menomonee Falls, WI

A welcoming home in Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 is seeking an attentive and engaging caregiver to assist a friendly Veteran recovering from a recent hospital stay and joining an established care team. This is a supportive, smoke-free home with one small dog (approx. 20 lbs).

Schedule

• Monday – Friday: Select one day for an evening shift from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight).
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM (midnight)
• Weekend shifts may be split into 8-hour blocks

Family Specifications

• Collaborative care environment working alongside an existing team of 3 caregivers.
• Client is a Veteran supported by a VA social worker and a GWAAR partner.
• Smoke-free home environment.
• One friendly small dog (approx. 20 lbs) in the home.
• Family values a caregiver with a great sense of humor who enjoys movies, pets, and sports (bonus points for baseball fans!).

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, personal hygiene, and daily needs.
• Provide transfer assistance using mechanical lift equipment.
• Support prescribed physical therapy routines and exercise plans.
• Prompt and assist with ongoing speech therapy exercises.
• Provide transportation for local appointments and errands as needed.
• Provide warm, engaging companionship.

Requirements

• Hands-on caregiving experience (RN/LPN license not required).
• Experience with transfer assistance and lift equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record for client transportation.
• Comfortable working around small pets.

Preferred

• Experience supporting physical or speech therapy routines.
• A great sense of humor and shared interest in sports, movies, and pets.

Compensation

$20-23 per hour
