About the role: What's in the Box

Are you passionate about food safety and driving product quality? At HelloFresh, delivering safe, delicious meals to millions of customers every week starts long before the box reaches their door. It starts with the suppliers we choose and the standards we hold them to.

Our international Food Safety & Quality Assurance team is looking for someone with technical experience to help us stay ahead on compliance and quality across our supply base. In this role, you'll help manage the Condiments, Sauces, and Pastes category, working closely with processing suppliers across Europe and partnering with cross-functional teams in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and our Distribution Centres. You'll play a key role in raising the bar on compliance, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction. Helping make sure everything that reaches our customers meets the standard they expect from us. 

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Lead the onboarding of new suppliers and products, ensuring compliance with food safety, legal, shelf-life, traceability, and quality requirements.
• Drive strategic quality improvement initiatives with suppliers to reduce customer complaints and improve satisfaction.
• Track supplier performance metrics, including complaints, out-of-spec deliveries, compliance KPIs, and corrective action follow-up.
• Investigate quality incidents using root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct supplier audits and approval visits across Europe, ensuring compliance with EU food safety legislation and HelloFresh standards.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• A science-based degree (e.g., Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or similar)
• A few years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Management within the food industry; exposure to processed foods, thermal processing, or high-care packaging is a plus.
• Experience auditing food manufacturers against GFSI standards (e.g., BRCGS, IFS, FSSC 22000), with familiarity with HACCP principles.
• Working knowledge of EU food safety legislation and allergen management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers across different cultures.
• Comfortable working with Google Suite / MS Office, and willing to travel within Europe (roughly 20%).
