Your Impact

As an intern, you will join our top-notch global Finance organization with business partners across Cisco, including Sales, Engineering, and other key functions. Throughout the summer, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate and network with fellow interns, team members, managers, and senior leaders.

Within our Finance Internship Program experience, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work within Cisco Finance during our fiscal year close.

  • Engage in a substantive finance role, directly contributing to the success of your team. The specific type of work varies based on which finance organization you’ll be placed into. Types of roles can include Financial Planning & Analysis, Managing Operating Expenses, Commercial Finance, Accounting, and more!

  • Work on an intern team project focused on a real Cisco business challenge. At the end of the summer, you’ll then get to present your findings and recommendations to our U.S. finance community and relevant stakeholders.

  • Transform data into actionable insights to address business challenges

  • Utilize AI-driven tools and intelligent automation agents to streamline financial reporting processes, extract actionable insights from complex datasets, and enhance the efficiency of team workflows.

  • Learn and develop the business acumen and skills necessary to becoming a future finance leader

  • Attend various events throughout your experience that will expand your professional network and career development

Minimum Qualifications

  • To be eligible for the internship, you must be enrolled in a 4-year university and graduating between December 2027 – June 2028. For example:

  • Rising college senior obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other business-related degree path

  • Or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree heading into a 1-year master’s program in accounting or finance with no gap between undergrad and master’s program

  • Available to start in our internship program as part of a cohort from June 7 – August 12, 2027

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in finance principles and technical excel skills

  • Foundational knowledge of AI tools and a strong aptitude for proactively applying emerging technologies to enhance financial modeling, data analysis, and workflow efficiency.

  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit

  • Current involvement in experiences beyond the classroom, such as leadership roles in student organizations or clubs, active participation in sports or extracurricular activities, experience studying abroad, and/or balancing a full-time job while attending school.
