About the role
We are passionate about learning and are accredited by ACCA as a Trainee Development Platinum approved business.
Based in our Brighton office, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Working as part of a collaborative Finance team, you'll ensure financial transactions are processed accurately, support reporting and reconciliations, and help maintain the controls that enable informed business decisions across the organisation.
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring all transactions comply with financial controls and approval processes.
- Review and process employee expenses and company card transactions, maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Allocate customer receipts and maintain accurate records to support effective cash management.
- Reconcile supplier accounts, investigate discrepancies and work proactively with suppliers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Complete bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving unmatched transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support regular supplier payment runs, helping to ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
- Prepare financial data and supporting information for reporting and business decision-making.
- Analyse budget variances, highlighting trends, risks and areas requiring further investigation.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers to resolve invoice, payment and account queries promptly.
- Support month-end, year-end and audit activities, ensuring financial information is complete, accurate and delivered to deadline.
- Work collaboratively across the Finance team, providing flexible support to meet departmental priorities and business needs.
What can you expect from this role?
- Take ownership of key finance activities, ensuring transactions, reconciliations and payments are completed accurately and on time.
- Play an active role in reporting, month-end processes and continuous improvement initiatives that support business performance and strengthen financial controls.

What are we looking for?
- Previous experience working in a finance, accounts payable or similar transactional finance role, with responsibility for processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Experience using Concur and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
- A proactive team player who can manage competing priorities, build effective working relationships and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
