1. Purpose and main priorities of the role:

Within the Supply Chain organization, the External Warehouse Manager ensures the effective management, performance, and continuous improvement of third-party warehouse operations across Europe. The person will report to the Logistics/Transport Manager and will act as a key interface between Fedrigoni and external logistics partners, driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, and service reliability in alignment with business objectives. The role will be based in Caponago.

2. Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinate daily operations and maintain strong relationships with the European external warehouses.

• Act as the primary point of contact between Fedrigoni and external warehouse providers, ensuring alignment and timely issue resolution.

• Define and implement efficient information exchange procedures in collaboration with IT, ensuring data accuracy and system alignment.

• Define, monitor, and report warehouse performance KPIs.

• Partner with Procurement to embed service levels and KPIs into supplier agreements and contracts.

• Ensure accurate stock management through regular reconciliation and inventory control processes, investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Conduct periodic audits of external warehouses to ensure compliance with Fedrigoni standards in terms of inventory accuracy, quality, service levels, and contractual KPIs.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse performance, efficiency, and service quality.

• Monitor logistics costs related to external warehouses.

• Oversee invoice verification, matching, and approval processes to ensure financial accuracy.

• Collaborate with Procurement on supplier selection, pricing agreements, and contract management.

• Closely monitor day-to-day warehouse activities and proactively manage exceptions, unforeseen events, and urgent operational needs to ensure business continuity.

3. Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Economics will be considered a plus

• Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations, ideally with third-party providers (3PL)

• Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI definition and performance monitoring

• Solid understanding of inventory management and cost control principles

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

• Strong leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to lead teams, delegate responsibilities, and drive performance in a dynamic environment

• Fluent in English
