The NFL Live Event Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for temporary lead associate position to oversee administrative duties for the event operations team overseeing International Games.  This position will also assist in event operations duties both onsite and during the planning process. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in live event operations, venue/stadium management, and logistical planning.  Additionally, the individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to achieving results in a fast paced environment. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to create visually compelling and impactful presentations. This position is based in New York City and will require travel. 

Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Oversee administrative functions for the Event Operations team and lead in overall event communication and meeting planning. 
  • Provide administrative support including meeting scheduling, note taking, managing follow ups. 
  • Manage the execution of contracts and oversee payment process for event operations vendors including tracking process.
  • Work with events team to build effective and clear presentations across events and projects. 
  • Participate in After Action Reporting process, collect data and turn into outward facing reports. 
  • Develop production schedules and manage distribution lists 
  • Conduct research on venues, vendors, logistics and technology, as needed. 

Event Operations

  • Support planning and execution of the NFL’s major events including but not limited to vendor management, production, venue tours, transportation, wayfinding and logistical planning and execution. 
  • Work in operational capacity onsite at tentpole and other events in variety of roles.
  • Support on planning documents and support onsite meetings, walkthroughs including planning trip dashboards, hotel/meeting space set-ups, A/V, IT, food and beverage, meeting scheduling & transportation as directed 
  • Handle assigned projects from start to finish ensuring all appropriate parties are kept up to speed on progress and deadlines are met. 
  • Support events team on managing outside vendors and agencies as needed. 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years of experience in the events or sports industry 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds and variety of levels inside and outside of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively across multiple projects at once
  • Strong work ethic 
  • Ability to work long hours, nights/weekends, as needed. 
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills. 
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills. 
  • Ability to improve the bottom line. 
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service. 
  • Ability to oversee and motivate support staff. 
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a live event production role and, at times, will require physicality.  This could involve lifting, moving heavy objects, extended periods outdoors in inclement weather, long hours of physical movement during show production, extensive travel requirements, site builds and adjustment of physical assets.  
  • Significant travel required, up to 40% 
  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting, that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
