Job Description
Essential Job Duties
1. All that are detailed in and for Event Crew 1, and …
2. Capable of installing express/high peak/pop up style tents without supervision and supporting the team with larger installations.
3. Properly and safely operate a box truck and pull a trailer as needed. Skilled in spotting other drivers/operators with the proper use of hand signals.
4. Provide friendly, professional service to internal customers and guest.
5. Load and unload tables, chairs, and other event/party rental items.
6. Setup rental equipment and test/ensure quality matches company expectations upon arrival. Must be able to understand and execute direction given from a pull sheet, email, phone, etc.
7. Rigging items that are 25lbs and under such as small chandeliers, bistro lighting, and other decor.
8. Running and connecting power requirements up to 20 amps.
9. Safely operating a warehouse forklift, scissor lift and any other equipment deemed necessary and fitting for their level and role.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred, but not required.
2. At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.
3. Demonstrated commitment to providing world class internal/external guest service.
4. Solid interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills; must be able to convey information clearly and concisely.
5. Excellent attention to detail with focus on quality, service, and safety.
6. Strong time management and organizational skills; can multi-task and adapt as required.
7. Ability to take direction and understand and execute instructions successfully.
8. Proactive, and exercises good judgment; can troubleshoot as needed.
9. Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Biltmore standards.
10. Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 19 years of age.
11. Leads by example and provides clear direction to others.
12. Basic math skills are required.
Physical Requirments
1. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
2. Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
3. Ability to climb, and work from, ladders, lifts, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
4. Ability to reach overhead, bend and squat/kneel often.
5. Ability to work effectively (indoors & outdoors) with exposure to dust, dirt, foul odors, extreme temperatures and/or weather conditions, using the proper safety and protective equipment.
6. Must be able to work for extended periods of time from elevated heights.
