The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Environmental Management Systems Coordinator | Συντονιστής Συστημάτων Περιβαλλοντικής Διαχείρισης”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Environmental Systems & Monitoring Superintendent of the Environmental department in Stratoni.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordination and implementation monitoring of the company’s Environmental and Energy Management Systems.
• Implementation monitoring of SIMS environmental related subjects.
• Support of company’s non-mining waste management.
• Supervision of the internal and external industrial waste management registry (Ministry of Energy & Environment /EWR).
• Internal auditor of Environmental Management and Energy Systems and proposing objectives and targets for continuous improvement of the company’s environmental performance.
• Participating in Kassandra Mines energy team.
• Organization and execution of environmental training of HG employees and contractors.
• Contribution to the preparation of supportive documentation for the company’s arguments against external claims and grievances related to environmental issues.
• Cooperation with inspectors, auditors, consultants, and visitors to provide the requested information during site visits.
• Participating in company research projects and cooperation with external consultants within the framework of research projects for the protection and sustainable management of the environment.
• Daily control and monitoring of the company’s compliance with the environmental terms and legislation.
• Operation of the company’s EHS platform environmental process flow solution.
  

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Geosciences, Business Administration, Management, Economics, or another relevant field.
• 1–3 years of experience in environmental inspections and/or audits, or in an engineering or scientific position in the extractive industry.
• Advanced communication skills, both oral and written in Greek and English.
• Ability to function timely and efficiently under tight time limits and adverse conditions.
• Creative, Critical and Organizational skills.
• Good knowledge of general IT.
• Driving License.
