ROLE SUMMARY
The EMGL – Emerging Markets Group Lead – for Specialty Care and Internal Medicine is a commercial leader accountable to set the strategic vision for RD, IM, Novel-Anti-infectives and I&I across Emerging Markets, define the GTM for different countries provides strategic direction for portfolio lifecycle management from launch to LOE/post-LOE. The EMGL will guide the decisions of “where to play and how to win” for the portfolio itself and for each brand. These decisions might include launch sequencing, public vs. private market entry strategies including pricing, and regional/local commercial resource allocation. Like all EMGLs, this role will provide headroom analysis and investment options on “where to play, and how to win” for P&L owners including EM President to make the final call.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives strategy, execution and growth
- Assesses the market potential of new brands to accelerate registry / launch processes for the region.
- Develops and drives the revenue and OpEx forecast for RD,IM, Novel-Anti-infectives and I&I ensuring the realization of revenue and profitability targets across the portfolio.
- Accountable for the TA performance (shared P&L accountability)
- Ensures his/her team provides healthy tension to pressure test business opportunities and risks at regional and country level
- Provide strategic counsel to EM President, EMCO CCO and Cluster Presidents on resource allocation/trade-offs, growth opportunities and risks\
- Provides direct strategic counsel and support to Country Presidents of top six markets to support cross-portfolio resource trade-offs to ensure focus on mid/long term portfolio priorities
- Builds strategies and portfolio management plans, ensures execution of commercial strategy/tactics to achieve target KPIs that maximize portfolio and drive growth
Internal and External Ambassador
- Represent EM and drive EM focus in various Int'l teams
- Leads initiatives to solve for EM business opportunities and challenges on topics related to manufacturing/inventory allocation, IP, regulatory, pricing legal, political, access and affordability, tender and contracting
- Provides Emerging Market expertise to Int’l/Global in to support go to market transformation, shaping the environment, affordability plans and pricing strategy
- Engages external stakeholders. Represent PFE as the TA expert in forums with senior external parties (e.g. governments, NGOs, commercial bodies, other third parties)
Builds organizational capability
- Develops RD, IM, Novel-Anti-infectives and I&I category specific capabilities in EM, such as consumer marketing, HCP marketing, policy, tendering and digital multi-channel marketing / customer engagement in collaboration with functional leads
- Role models a collective advantage mindset towards a greater good beyond their TA
- Create and maintain a team culture that values, recognizes, and generates high performance, supports innovation and challenges the status quo
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Bachelor degree
- 15+ years of Marketing Experience with strong experience in Commercial Development.
- Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment Commercial/portfolio management experience, including accountability for revenues/operating expenses (P&L) asset allocation, value and cost driver decisions.
- Demonstrated successful track record in managing virtual and matrix teams
- Strong People management and leadership experience
- Senior Level executive presence and emotional intelligence to negotiate represent EM in different internal and external forums
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or Masters Degree
- Country Operations Experience, Country Manager, Cluster Lead, BU Head or P&L accountability equivalent role
- Experience in EM or a least one of the regions (Asia, MERA or LATAM)

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $274,000.00 to $456,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
