Job Title: Electrical Assembler and Wirer-1st Shift

Scope:

Perform duties to pre-assemble HVAC unit electrical panels and wire panels in compliance with prescribed diagrams and instructions, making minor decisions as required.

Essential Duties:

• Work from work schedule, bill of materials (BOM), panel layout, wiring diagram, text sheet, and work instruction.

• Validate and inspect sheet metal and purchased parts to ensure compliance with BOM. Notify supervisor of any discrepancies. Apply purchased panel to sheet metal backing and install in accordance to instruction.

• Attach specified components. Verify wire gauge and type requirements and interpret wiring diagrams. Pull wires as required, wire panel in accordance to provided diagram, panel layout, and electrical schematics. Route and bundle wires and cables in compliance with established electrical standards.

• Rack completed panels and move to designated area for staging or subsequent operations.

• Notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.

Other Duties:

• Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.

• Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.

• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Tools and Equipment:

Use hand tools, hand power tools, measuring devices, and crane.

Minimum Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):

• Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87.1

• Gloves – ANSI Cut 3 4544

• Foot Protection, Steel Toe – ASTM F2413-11

Physical Demand:

• Frequently push with up to 120 lbs. of force.

• Occasionally push and pull up to 50 lbs.

• Occasionally lift and carry up to 55 lbs.

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, maneuver, stoop, squat, grasp, pinch, and reach.

• Frequent use of fine motor skills.

• Visual and aural acuity

• Frequent use of fine motor skills.
