DIGITAL CONTENT EXECUTIVE - Remote, UK. 6 months temporary contract.
The Digital Content Executive plays a key role in executing the brand’s marketing strategy across multiple channels on and offline. This role is responsible for creating, managing and optimising content across email, SMS, social media, print and websites to drive engagement, conversions and brand consistency.
They will ensure all digital content is high-quality, on-brand, and optimised for performance, across all media. The role also involves monitoring results, analysing data and continuously improving content strategies to maximise impact.
Role Accountability
Content Creation & Management
- Develop and execute high-quality content across multiple brands, on and offline ensuring brand consistency and tone of voice.
- Create engaging content for all channels such as email campaigns, SMS marketing, print, point of sales, video content, social media and website updates.
- Design and optimise landing pages and offer pages to maximise conversions.
- Write compelling website copy, social media posts, and promotional materials to drive customer engagement.
Campaign Execution & Optimisation
- Build and execute email marketing campaigns, ensuring content is optimised for open rates, CTR, and conversions.
- Plan and schedule SMS campaigns to reach targeted customer segments.
- Manage and update social media content across various platforms to boost engagement and brand awareness. Paid and Organic.
- Manage offline campaign requirements, support with print requirements as required.
- Oversee A/B testing for email subject lines, website layouts and social content to improve performance.
Website & Digital Platform Management
- Maintain and update the website with fresh content, news, and promotional offers.
- Ensure all offer pages are up-to-date, accurate, and visually engaging – supporting the new car campaign manager.
- Suggest improvements for creation of new website pages and improve UX/UI.
- Support the SEO Lead to optimise content for SEO, and user experience to improve rankings and engagement – as required.
- Manage and optimize online directories, including Google My Business (GMB), ensuring accurate and up-to-date business information, improving local SEO, and enhancing visibility across relevant platforms.
- Monitor and update online directory listings for all locations, including maintaining consistency of business hours, contact details and promotional content across multiple platforms.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics (email open rates, CTR, conversions, website traffic, social engagement, etc.).
- Use Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing platforms to track and report on performance.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the marketing team to align campaign creation and execution with business goals.
- Coordinate with external agencies, designers, and developers for content production and website updates.
- Ensure all digital assets adhere to brand guidelines and compliance standards.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience
Key Skills
- Content Creation & Digital Marketing – Strong copywriting and content development skills for all media such as websites, email, SMS and social media, with experience in multi-channel campaign execution, on an off line.
- SEO & Web Management – Understanding of SEO best practices, website performance optimisation, and content management systems.
- Email & SMS Marketing – Hands-on experience with tools like Mailchimp, DotDigital, ensuring compliance with GDPR and best practices.
- Analytics & Performance Tracking – Proficiency in Google Analytics, social media insights and campaign reporting to drive data-led decisions.
- Project & Stakeholder Management – Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines and teams efficiently.
Experience Required
- Experience in digital marketing, content creation, or a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Experience managing email campaigns, social media content, website updates and CMS platforms.
- Proven ability to optimise content to enhance engagement and performance.
