About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Scout to join iSAM as data continues to play an increasingly important role across the firm. We are seeking an inquisitive, commercially minded individual with a passion for discovering, evaluating and managing high-quality data and a desire to take ownership and drive forward data sourcing at the firm.
This is a new role that offers the opportunity to shape how iSAM identifies, acquires and manages data. Working across our Systematic Funds and Capital Markets businesses, you will help define the firm's data strategy, build strong relationships with data providers and ensure our researchers have access to the best data available.
You will own our data catalogue, continuously improve our understanding of the firm's data assets, and proactively identify new datasets that can provide investment insight and data providers to partner with. We are a fast-paced ambitious team, so you'll be expected to work independently, collaborate across the business and work closely with the investment teams and Head of Data.
Responsibilities:
- Source new data, building relationships with established and newer providers of data
- Own our internal data catalogue, proactively publicising data across the firm
- Actively scout and onboard new sources of data
- Contribute meaningfully to data strategy across the firm
About you:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, technical environment
- Experience working in a similar systematic investment firm – ideally with an equity focus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent documentation skills
- An ability to work independently
