Position Summary  

• We are seeking a qualified and talented Engineer to join our team. In this role, candidate will work with a project team to deliver all the infrastructure and its supporting elements in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the best project outcomes. Candidate will collaborate with a team of professionals, but also work independently with minimal supervision.
• Focus area would involve automation and utilities development to enhance production stability, integrating observability layers for better monitoring of Production and lower lane systems.

Responsibilities  

• Observe and support application components and related infrastructure, acts as the first point of contact to troubleshot, and responds to alerts regarding potential production issues.
• Interprets and monitors dashboards, tools, and reports to proactively identify and address potential issues prior to production impact, escalating issues to senior team members or subject matter experts as needed.
• Respond to alerts regarding potential production incidents.
• Implement, monitor, and improve DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines and streamline software delivery.
• Administer Linux servers for hosting applications, ensuring system security, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to align technical solutions with technical needs.
• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges, ensuring system stability, performance, and scalability.
• Knowledge of automation / DevOps tools – Ansible, Jenkins, Bitbucket
• Develop dashboards with Grafana to monitor real time logs, server health check etc.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Troubleshoot and analyze issues with failed deployments.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with languages like Bash scripting and Python.
• Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Unix background with experience of supporting containerized application. (Podman, Docker, Openshift, or Kubernetes.)
• Understanding of storage and data replication platforms: CEPH, Ozone, HDFS.
• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux principles and security. 
• Drive data visualization and analytics initiatives using Tableau, Grafana and Apache superset.
• DevOps Practices.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases Postgres.
• Experience with Hadoop.

Desired Qualifications

• Working experience on UNIX Application Environments: Redis, Containers, Postgres, and Python web app.
• Track record of maintaining large scale Python based systems.
• Knowledge on Teradata.
• Experience in developing or customizing Tableau reports.

Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include leading code design and delivery tasks with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. Job expectations include liaising with vendors and working with stakeholders and Product and Software Engineering teams to implement data requirements, analyzing performance, and researching and troubleshooting issues within system engineering domains.

Responsibilities:

• Leads story refinement and delivery of requirements through the delivery lifecycle and assists team members in resolving technical complexities
• Codes complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data, builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management, assembles complex data sets, and communicates required information for deployment
• Leads documentation of system requirements, collaborates with development teams to understand data requirements and feasibility, and leverages architectural components to develop client requirements
• Leads testing teams to develop test plans, contributes to existing test suites including integration, regression, and performance, analyzes test reports, identifies test issues and errors, and leads triage of underlying causes
• Leads work efforts with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data management standards adherence, negotiates paths forward by thinking outside the box to identify and communicate solutions to complex problems, and leverages knowledge of information systems, techniques, and processes
• Leads complex information technology projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to release processes and risk management and defines and builds data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making
• Mentors Data Engineers to enable continuous development and monitors key performance indicators and internal controls
