Remote Recruitment is hiring a Data Entry Specialist to work remotely from South Africa for a UK-based employer. The work is steady and detail-driven: moving information into the right systems, checking it against source documents, and flagging anything that looks wrong. If you are the person who spots the transposed digit everyone else missed, you will do well here.

Key responsibilities

• Enter customer, invoice, and order data into internal systems and spreadsheets
• Cross-check entries against source documents and correct discrepancies
• Clean and de-duplicate existing records
• Convert documents between formats and file them correctly
• Flag missing or unclear information to the relevant team

What you will need

• One or more years in data entry, admin, or a similar detail-heavy role
• Fast, accurate typing — around 45 words per minute or better
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets, including sorting and basic formulas
• Familiarity with a CRM or ERP system is useful but not essential
• A reliable computer and stable fibre or LTE internet
• Availability 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (11:00 to 19:00 SAST)

How the day works

Work is assigned in daily batches, so you always know what is in front of you and when it needs to be finished. You will have a named point of contact for questions and a short check-in each morning. Accuracy matters more than raw speed here, and there is no phone work involved. Remote Recruitment places South African talent with UK employers on long-term contracts, so this is a settled role rather than short-term project work, with room to move into a coordinator position over time.
