Job Summary:
The Global Freight Forwarding Customer Support Specialist supports customer accounts, either at a customer's place of business or in a traditional Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) operations environment.
He/She analyzes and responds to Customer requests, resolves customer issues, conducts research, prepares reports, and identifies account penetration opportunities.
The Global Freight Forwarding Customer Support Specialist reviews rates, tracks shipments and orders, prepares reports, and updates customer files and profiles.
This position maintains ongoing relationships with customers and assists with customer set ups.
The Global Freight Forwarding Customer Support Specialist provides service failure recovery management.
He/She provides back-up support to customer accounts and provides customer training on SCS systems. This position may require travel to customer locations for business and quality reviews.
Major Responsibilities, Skills and Attributes:
- Bachelor Degree in any disciplines with at least 2 year of experience in customers services and support team
- Insight into SCS systems and all organization systems related to Supply Chain Solutions work.
- Must be able to perform detailed work and maintain confidentiality.
- Computer literate.
- Good English in writing and oral.
- Analytical skills – success is measured through the attainment of objectives and the effective use of resources.
- Strong communication skills - interaction with customers and other functions on a regular basis.
- Result-oriented – strong skills in problem solving and data analysis; meticulous in report producing.
