Credit Risk Analyst
Wellingborough (hybrid, circa 1 day per month onsite)
Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum
If you're looking to build your career in credit risk analytics, this is an opportunity to influence lending decisions, pricing strategy and portfolio performance within a growing asset finance business.
You'll work with large datasets and modern analytical tools to help shape how Arkle manages risk and supports sustainable growth. It's a hands-on role in a small, collaborative team where your work is visible, valued and able to make a real difference.
Hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work predominantly from home and attend our Wellingborough office approximately once per month.
What you'll do
- Develop lending strategies and decision rules
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify risk trends
- Analyse customer and broker behaviour
- Support pricing, collections and portfolio growth decisions
- Build risk reporting and management insight
- Contribute to credit risk models and scorecards
What you'll bring
- Experience in credit risk analytics
- Asset finance, motor finance or consumer credit knowledge
- Strong SQL, Excel and Power BI skills
- Experience working with large datasets
- Understanding of portfolio monitoring and risk reporting
- Exposure to credit models or scorecards would be beneficial
- Strong communication skills and a numerate degree
