ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.

As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.

We are currently seeking a CRC Level 1 to join our team at our Warwickshire clinical research site. This is a fully site-based role and an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional looking to develop a career in clinical research while continuing to work directly with patients.

As a CRC Level 1, you will play an important role in the day-to-day delivery of clinical trials, supporting participants throughout their study journey and ensuring studies are conducted safely, accurately and in line with protocol requirements. We are particularly interested in candidates with hands-on clinical experience who are comfortable working directly with patients, performing clinical assessments and handling study-related documentation and data.

What you will be doing

  • Supporting the delivery and coordination of clinical trial activities.

  • Recruiting, screening and enrolling study participants.

  • Conducting participant visits and supporting patients throughout the clinical trial process.

  • Performing protocol-required clinical procedures, including:

    • Phlebotomy and sample processing

    • Vital signs assessments

    • ECGs and other study-specific procedures

    • Collection and documentation of clinical data

  • Maintaining accurate source documentation and study records.

  • Entering study data into Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and resolving data queries.

  • Supporting study start-up activities, participant recruitment and retention efforts.

  • Maintaining regulatory documentation and ensuring compliance with study protocols and SOPs.

  • Working closely with Investigators, sponsors and monitors to support successful study delivery.

  • Supporting monitoring visits, audits and inspection readiness activities.

  • Educating participants about study requirements and the clinical trial process.

  • Assisting with participant reimbursement and study administration activities.

Your Profile

  • Qualification in Nursing, Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science, Life Sciences or another relevant healthcare discipline.

  • Previous healthcare experience involving direct patient contact is highly desirable.

  • Experience with phlebotomy, sample handling, clinical observations or other patient-facing clinical procedures would be advantageous.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.

  • Comfortable working with both patients and clinical data.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence working with electronic systems.

  • An interest in clinical research and developing a career within the clinical trials industry.

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing clinical research team and contribute to the development of new medicines and treatments. You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of clinical studies while working in a supportive environment where patient care and research excellence go hand in hand.

*Please note: This is a fully office/site-based role in Warwickshire. Candidates should be comfortable with regular patient interaction, phlebotomy, clinical procedures, laboratory sample handling and clinical data entry.
