We are looking for an experiencedย Senior Software Engineerย to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications usingย Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and AWS. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals along with hands-on experience in designing high-performance, reliable, and cloud-based solutions.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable contributing across the software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support. You will also contribute to technical reviews, troubleshooting, mentoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications usingย Core Java, Java/J2EE, and Spring Boot.
- Develop robustย REST APIs and microservicesย aligned with enterprise architecture and coding standards.
- Participate in requirements analysis, platform story development, technical design, and solution discussions.
- Design and architect systems capable of meeting highย scalability, availability, and performanceย requirements.
- Work with relational databases such asย MySQL and Oracle, as well as NoSQL databases such asย MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Develop event-driven solutions using messaging technologies such asย RabbitMQ.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions usingย AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Contribute to infrastructure and performance evaluation strategies for AWS-based applications and services.
- Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Write and execute unit and automated tests usingย JUnit and Mockito.
- Supportย Cucumber-based testingย and integrate automated tests into continuous integration pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, technical discussions, and architecture evaluations.
- Troubleshoot application and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
- Work withย Dockerย and CI/CD pipelines to support reliable application builds and deployments.
- Use monitoring and observability platforms such asย Datadogย and AWS CloudWatch to identify performance and operational issues.
- Contribute to continuous integration, deployment, release, and production-support activities.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external technical teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance on development and debugging practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 6+ years of professional experienceย in software design and development, preferably with 7+ years of relevant Java experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise inย Core Java, Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, application architecture, and distributed systems.
- Proven experience designing applications with highย scalability, performance, availability, and reliabilityrequirements.
- Strong knowledge ofย AWS cloud services, particularly EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Experience designing and supporting cloud-based applications and performance evaluation environments.
- Strong experience withย MongoDBย and familiarity with DynamoDB or other NoSQL technologies.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such asย MySQL or Oracle.
- Experience withย RabbitMQย or similar messaging technologies.
- Hands-on experience withย Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong unit-testing experience usingย JUnit and Mockito; exposure to Cucumber testing is an advantage.
- Familiarity withย Datadog and application observability/monitoring.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical challenges and solutions.
