We’re looking for a Content Marketing Coordinator to join our team and work closely with the Content Marketing Team Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the marketing team of two of South Africa’s leading ISP brands: Webafrica and Mweb.

There will be a strong CRM and communications element as well as CMS management to help keep our website updated and fresh.

Key Responsibilities

1. Communications & Campaign Support

• Mobile Marketing: Write and set up SMS campaigns as well as write copy for our automated WhatsApp push communication to customers.
• Email Marketing: Regularly update and maintain both automated and manual email templates to align with brand standards and campaign goals. Send out marketing and operational campaigns to customers via SendGrid.
• Conversational AI: Assist the Team Lead in the review and editing of Live Chat bot copy to ensure a helpful, human-centric tone of voice.

2. Website & Content Management

• Digital Copywriting: Draft and update website copy and visual assets in our CMS, Craft, to keep the site fresh and conversion-oriented.
• Product Content: Partner with the Product Team to ensure all product-related updates are accurately reflected on the website in a timely manner.
• Blog Coordination: Produce original blog content based on quarterly KPI targets. Coordinate, proofread, and upload guest posts or content written by other team members.
• Quality Assurance: Assist with website testing to ensure content renders correctly and links function as intended.

3. Reporting & Data Administration

• Performance Tracking: Generate reports on communication performance (CTOR, etc.) and other metrics when requested.
• Database Management: Oversee the "clean up" and manual uploading of mailing lists to ensure the correct customers are receiving the mailers.
• Data Retrieval: Pull specific customer data sets to support targeted marketing initiatives and management requests.

4. Ad Hoc

Execute additional tasks within the scope of marketing to support evolving business needs and departmental goals.

Requirements

• 2-3 years’ experience in content marketing/copywriting.
• Relevant degree or certification in copywriting, marketing, communications or digital content marketing (preferable).
• Experience in blog writing with a portfolio of a minimum of two published posts.
• Experience in copywriting, proofreading and editing.
• Experience with or knowledge of CMS platforms for website content creation (preferable).
• Experience in or knowledge of CRM communication platforms such as SendGrid (preferable).
• Experience in MS Office 360 – specifically Word and Excel.
• Ability to write content without relying too much on AI.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working fully remote.
