CNC Machinist – Lathe & Mill
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: Up to $33.00/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturday, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Shift: 1st Shift
Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week
Position Overview
We are hiring a CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC lathes and mills for the production of precision industrial components. The ideal candidate is comfortable working from technical drawings and producing parts to very tight tolerances in a heavy industrial environment.
What You’ll Do
Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Mills using machining drawings.
Create and modify programs using G-code.
Work with Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls; experience with every control is not required.
Maintain machining tolerances as tight as 0.0005".
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
Verify dimensions and maintain consistent part quality.
Read and interpret technical/shop drawings.
Follow safe work practices in a heavy industrial setting.
Maintain reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Work the required schedule, including Saturdays.
Qualifications
Experience with CNC programming, setup, and operation.
Ability to read and understand technical or machining drawings.
Experience with precision measurement tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work approximately 56 hours per week, including Saturdays.
