We are seeking an experienced Category Head to lead category strategy, business growth, and private label development for a high-growth consumer business. This leadership role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in Category Management and Private Label who have successfully managed large product portfolios, driven commercial performance, and built customer-centric category strategies.

As a Category Head, you will be responsible for defining long-term category vision, driving revenue and profitability, expanding private label offerings, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will collaborate closely with sourcing, merchandising, supply chain, marketing, product, and analytics teams to optimize assortment, pricing, vendor partnerships, and go-to-market strategies while identifying new opportunities for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share.
• Lead end-to-end category management, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, and lifecycle management.
• Define and expand the private label portfolio by identifying market opportunities and customer needs.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and brand partners to secure competitive commercial terms.
• Drive product selection, sourcing, and merchandising decisions based on customer insights and market trends.
• Analyze category performance using business metrics and data analytics to optimize sales, margins, inventory, and profitability.
• Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to develop impactful promotional campaigns and product launches.
• Partner with supply chain and operations teams to improve product availability, inventory efficiency, and fulfillment performance.
• Identify emerging consumer trends, competitive landscape, and new business opportunities to strengthen category leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing category management teams while fostering a culture of ownership and innovation.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 12+ years of experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Buying, or Commercial leadership roles.
• Proven expertise in developing and scaling Private Label businesses across consumer-focused categories.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing category P&L, pricing strategies, and profitability.
• Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management.
• Strong understanding of consumer behavior, retail trends, assortment planning, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience working with data analytics, forecasting, inventory optimization, and business performance reporting.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a customer-first mindset.
