Reporting to the Manager, BI Architecture and Advanced Analytics, the Business Intelligence Architect will work collaboratively with business stakeholders and the Global Data Governance (GDG) team to support Hach’s current and future data needs, with a focus on designing, implementing, and continuously improving our BI infrastructure. This position is located in Canada and is remote.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI and Fabric
- Build and maintain enterprise semantic models for business reporting
- Manage and optimize the Power BI/Fabric environment and capacities
- Collaborate with data, analytics, and governance teams
- Automate reporting and BI processes using the Power Platform
- Support business users and translate technical concepts into clear insights
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 6-8 years of experience with Power BI / Microsoft Fabric and Premium/Fabric capacities
- Expert DAX and Power Query, with strong data modelling skills
- Advanced SQL and experience handling large, complex datasets
- Strong knowledge of Power BI security (RLS/OLS, workspaces, Entra groups)
- Experience building enterprise semantic models and supporting report creators
- Good knowledge of Python
- Hands-on with Power Automate, plus working knowledge of Azure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 to 140,000 CAD/year. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
