We’re a global federation driven by one vision: a world where everyone, everywhere has clean water, sanitation and hygiene by 2030. About the team

The Data & Analytics team helps WaterAid make confident, evidence-based decisions by providing analysis, reporting and insight across the organisation, translating business needs into actionable analysis to further our mission.

  • Design, build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, ensuring insight is clearly presented and genuinely useful for decision-making.
  • Help to shape a clear People data strategy and approach that enables evidence-based workforce planning, strategic decision-making and improved use of People data, with support from the Head of Data & Analytics and the People Director.
  • Support Finance reporting and analysis, including working with engineering and finance-systems colleagues on changes to the data pipeline, enabling and quality-assuring self-service reporting by Finance users
  • Maintain and develop cross-organisational management information, including quarterly and live C-Suite reporting, responding to growing demand for clear reporting across domains.
  • Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

  • Strong data visualisation and reporting skills, particularly with Power BI, able to turn complex information into clear insight and recommendations for decision-makers.
  • Good business analysis skills: able to work with stakeholders to understand their goals and translate them into clear reporting and data requirements.
  • A methodical, careful approach to data quality and documentation, comfortable monitoring data and flagging issues within a data stewardship model.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

  • Experience working with data across back-office or corporate functions such as People/HR or Finance.
  • Experience translating business requirements into data or warehouse logic alongside engineers.
