Business Analyst Trainee / Business Controller Trainee 2027

We are looking for several Business Analyst / Controller Trainees for both our Business Control teams in healthcare and social care services and for management accounting team for the year 2027.

The trainee position that we offer includes a full-time work period of at least three months, after which it is possible to continue working part-time, for example, alongside studies, with opportunities to move into international assignments as well. We offer trainee position opportunities throughout the year, and the specific timing will be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis. The workplace is located in the center of Helsinki, by Narinkkatori in Kamppi.

You are the person we are looking for if you are a university student, pursuing a Master's degree. Previous experience in similar roles is considered as an advantage. You are analytical, ambitious, and enjoy working in an entrepreneurial, rapidly developing, and internationalizing company. You are capable of working independently, taking responsibility from day one, and communicating effectively with numerous different stakeholders.

• Our mission is to support Mehiläinen's management and business representatives in business development by producing high-quality analyses and reporting solutions to support decision-making, both in Finland and internationally.

Your future tasks

In this role, you will support business management as part of the Business Control team. You will actively participate in business development by producing high-quality analyses and reporting solutions to support decision-making. The tasks of a Business Analyst / Controller Trainee are varied and may include various development projects related to, for example, corporate acquisitions, investment projects, financial reporting, or the development of Power BI solutions, both in Finland and internationally. The exact job description will be tailored case-by-case basis according to the applicant's skills and interests.

What we expect from you

• You are a Master's student in a relevant university degree (M.Sc. in Economics or M.Sc. in Technology) with an excellent academic record

• Interest in the social care and healthcare industry and business development

• Good collaboration and communication skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

• Analytical skills and a quick ability to learn

• Strong Excel skills and motivation to develop your skills in financial modeling

• Power BI, SQL and AI tool skills are considered as an advantage
