Essential Capabilities

• Human-centred design, UX design, and service or journey design practices.
• Ability to conduct and synthesise user research to inform experience design decisions.
• Experience designing digital experiences across learning platforms, tools, or ecosystems
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear, usable design artefacts.
• Systems thinking and the ability to design experiences end-to-end across multiple touchpoints environments.

Other Capabilities

• Understanding of contemporary adult learning principles and performance-focused learning design.
• Accessibility and inclusion awareness in experience and interface design.
• Comfort working in agile or iterative delivery
• Data-informed mindset, with the ability to use insights and feedback to iterate and improve experiences.

Experience

• Experience working as a UX Designer, Service Designer, or Experience Designer, ideally within complex or enterprise environments.
• Experience designing learning, capability, or performance support experiences (or adjacent digital products/services).
• Experience partnering with learning designers, product teams, or technology teams.
• Exposure to capability frameworks, skills-based approaches, or learning ecosystems is advantageous.

Qualification Requirements

• Tertiary qualification(s) preferred in UX Design, Interaction Design, Service Design, Human-Centred Design, or a related discipline.
• Relevant industry certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct user research (e.g. interviews, testing, journey reviews) to understand colleague needs, behaviours, and performance moments.

Design end-to-end learning and capability journeys, including digital and non-digital touchpoints.

Create UX artefacts such as personas, journey maps, service blueprints, wireframes, prototypes, and design recommendations.

Partner with learning designers to embed UX and human-centred design into learning solutions.

Collaborate with technology, product, and platform teams to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.

Test, iterate, and refine experiences based on feedback, data, and outcomes.

Advocate for human-centred, performance-focused design across Enterprise Capability initiatives.
