Why Join SS&C

You will work with industry experts, modern platforms, and evolving technologies, gaining exposure to real-world operational challenges and large-scale enterprise environments.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Analyze and monitor securities and derivative transactions across products such as equities, fixed income, futures, options, swaps, and other structured instruments.
  • Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, valuation, corporate actions, collateral, margin, and expiration or termination events.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of positions, cash, transactions, valuations, and related financial data between internal systems and external counterparties or custodians.
  • Investigate and resolve trade, position, cash, valuation, and settlement discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Review derivative terms, confirmations, and transaction documentation to ensure transactions are accurately reflected in internal systems.
  • Monitor operational and financial risks associated with securities and derivatives activity and escalate material issues appropriately.
  • Analyze market data, pricing information, and valuation inputs to support accurate reporting and risk oversight.
  • Partner with Trading, Operations, Risk, Finance, Treasury, Technology, Compliance, and other business functions to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, including valuation reviews, reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.
  • Prepare and maintain management reports, operational metrics, exception reporting, and other analyses related to securities and derivatives activity.
  • Assist with regulatory, internal audit, and compliance requirements related to securities and derivatives operations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, strengthen controls, improve data quality, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, and process-development initiatives.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and subject-matter expert for complex securities and derivatives issues.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of team procedures, controls, and best practices.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in securities, derivatives, capital markets, investment operations, financial analysis, or a related financial-services environment.
  • Strong understanding of securities and derivatives products, transaction lifecycles, and financial markets.
  • Experience with trade processing, reconciliations, settlements, valuations, and exception management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues and determine root causes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, lookups, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work accurately with large volumes of financial data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across business and functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with derivatives such as options, futures, swaps, forwards, or structured products.
  • Knowledge of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives.
  • Experience modeling these derivative types on InvestOne accounting software.
  • Familiarity with derivative valuation, pricing models, collateral, margin, and exposure concepts.
  • Experience with securities or derivatives platforms and financial data systems.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, Python, VBA, Power BI, or other data-analysis and automation tools.
  • Experience with financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or internal controls.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, CPA, or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience working in a bank, broker-dealer, asset manager, investment firm, fintech, or other regulated financial-services organization.

Success in This Role
