Role & Responsibilities:
Key Result Areas:
- Independently execute retail buying strategies by developing channel-specific assortments aligned with consumer demand, business objectives, and market opportunities. Monitor product performance across retail channels and provide fact-based insights and recommendations to support the achievement of category targets, inventory productivity, margin, stock turn, and sales objectives.
- Drive assortment efficiency during the buying process by analyzing channel performance, consumer insights, and market trends to identify and implement opportunities to optimize assortment breadth, depth, and localization. Recommend actions to improve sell-through, capture RSP opportunities, strengthen volume drivers, and adapt assortments to market-specific needs.
- Prepare seasonal hindsight, foresight, and product opportunity analyses to identify key learnings, emerging trends, and product opportunities, and to provide informed inputs into Go-To-Market (GTM) processes and demand forecasting.
- Develop and maintain market size profiles and address sizing requirements in line with business needs, including size-grid adjustments and size-out investigations. Analyze sales and sizing trends to recommend actions that improve inventory productivity.
- Monitor and manage weekly product performance across seasonal sell-out, and provide recommendations to maximize profitability. Compile and analyze product performance data to identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the Retail Planning and Allocation teams to recommend and execute receipt-chasing or reflow actions, taking into consideration commercial priorities and operational constraints.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of structured reporting by reviewing outputs for data accuracy and process efficiency, and by identifying opportunities to standardize and strengthen reporting practices.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across buying processes, assortment planning methodologies, and reporting practices.
- Execute the implementation of new systems and process enhancements to improve workflow efficiency, data quality, and overall business effectiveness.
- Serve as a key point of contact for product-related feedback and enquiries, ensuring timely coordination and appropriate follow-up with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage assigned ad hoc responsibilities and projects as required, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality delivery.
Competency Requirements:
- Advance understanding retail mathematics and Open to Buy
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret multiple data points across numerous channels and market segments
- Good foundation on replenishment, allocations, merchandising and/or retail fashion store management
- Proven ability to work with a cross functional team
- Good sense of style and color trends
- Good communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal
- Entrepreneurship – an ability to make decisions and take calculated risks
- Intermediate Excel skills with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, and graphs
