Reporting to the Head of Tax & Accounting, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing tax compliance for Singapore and Malaysia legal entities. He/she will work closely with business lines and service units and assist the Head of Tax in formulating tax strategies to improve business profitability and mitigate tax exposures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all spectrum of statutory local tax compliance, including preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns.

• Manage all spectrum of Group reporting requirements, including quarter provisional tax and deferred tax reporting, margin reporting.

• Analyzing business transactions and identifying any tax issue/risks and potential tax saving for legal entities.

• Review to ensure accuracy of financial data for property tax assessment/objection.

• Monitoring existing tax incentive’s requirement, including EDB grant submission and audit.

• Attend to tax queries raised by the tax authority.

• Assist in tax audits.

• Assist in preparation of local Transfer Pricing Documentation.

• Explore new technologies to improve tax compliance and planning processes. Drive process improvement in automation and digitalization of tax processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. • Handle ad hoc tax related projects as assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Accountancy, or equivalent professional qualifications

• Possess at least 5 years of relevant working experience in Singapore corporate tax compliance and/or tax advisory, preferable Big 4 candidates are welcome to apply

• Has a strong analytical mind and meticulous

• Proficient in MS office

• Affinity for digitization topics; special knowledge in this area is an advantage

• Able to multi-task, work under tight deadlines

• Independent and a good team player

• Great communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and external parties
