About The Opportunity
We’re hiring a dependable, motivated Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing store team. What You’ll Do
Leadership & Team Support
- Assist with supervising, coaching, and training staff
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
- Help promote a positive, engaged team culture
Store Operations
- Support daily store operations, including opening and closing duties
- Manage store communication (email, updates, task assignments)
- Work closely with the Store Manager on staffing, operational needs, and sales goals
Customer Service & Compliance
- Check ID and ensure all alcohol sales meet Alberta regulations
- Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
Inventory & Financial Support
- Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving
- Review reports and documentation for accuracy
- Help support store financial targets and controllables
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of retail experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory role
- ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift
- Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
