Summary of Job Duties:
This UAMS Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologist faculty position will be located in Little Rock and manage low- and moderate-risk obstetrical patients and work closely with the MFM faculty and fellows in co-management of patients. They will also perform preventative gynecological care, and manage abnormal gynecologic conditions, including the ability to participate in many of the specialty clinics that only UAMS offers. Clinical duties will include seeing patients in an outpatient clinic setting, working inpatient in the Labor and Delivery Unit performing vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and performing gynecology procedures in the gynecologic operating room. They can have allotted block time with the Da Vinci Robot. Along with clinical duties, the Generalist faculty member will actively participate in the clinical education of twenty OBGYN residents and medical students. The Generalist faculty member will also be expected to participate in research endeavors. The candidate will need to be committed to being part of an organization that is focused on providing the best care for patients through a strong interdisciplinary approach, while also working to improve health disparities in the State of Arkansas. This position will offer competitive compensation while still retaining a lifestyle conscious approach with respect to call and clinical duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Essential for the job – the applicant must possess at the time of hire)
Education, general:
· MD or DO
· Completion of a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in an ACGME approved program
Licenses, certificates, or registration
· Valid AR state medical license as an MD or DO upon hiring
· Valid DEA certificate upon hiring
· Current BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology)
