Job Description
The Assistant Manager Marketing - SM (Specimen Acquisition) at Becton Dickinson India Private Limited will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive specimen acquisition for BD's diagnostic solutions within the Indian market. This role involves understanding market needs, identifying growth opportunities, and collaborating with sales and clinical teams to achieve business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans and strategies for specimen acquisition products and solutions, aligned with global and regional objectives.
* Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in specimen collection and diagnostics.
* Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate these segments.
* Manage the product lifecycle for specimen acquisition solutions, including launch, growth, and eventual obsolescence, ensuring optimal market performance.
* Collaborate with global and regional marketing teams to adapt global strategies to local market conditions and ensure consistent brand messaging.
* Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitoring return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities.
* Create compelling marketing collateral, sales tools, presentations, and training materials for the sales team and key stakeholders.
* Plan and execute promotional activities, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and digital campaigns, to increase brand awareness and drive demand.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), industry associations, and customers to gather insights and drive adoption.
* Work closely with the sales team to provide product training, technical support, and market insights to optimize sales performance.
* Monitor and analyze market performance data, sales trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
* Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and company policies.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in marketing within the medical device, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on specimen acquisition or related product areas.
* Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that have driven business growth.
* Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, including diagnostic pathways, procurement processes, and regulatory landscape.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally as required.
